Nic Brown Whatever slough of agony and despair birthed Kwade Droes must be godforsaken in the extreme because this is the most nightmarish bolus of sanity-ripping black metal I’ve heard since Skáphe & Wormlust’s hellish ‘Kosmiskur hryllingur’. Dissonant, lo-fi tremolo riffs are torn apart by bloodcurdling shrieks, staticky diatribes sampled from radio broadcasts and demonic chorales until panic sets in and obstinately refuses to leave. Genuinely disturbing. Favorite track: Duivelsindrijving.

Slug. Came for the logo and the art and I hit buy for the bizarre, unique and alien sounds that invaded my ears. I honestly have no idea what to compare this to. It’s taken several listens, no doubt, for some of it to sink in, and I’m going to keep listening until I’ve been abducted and completely immersed in its otherworldly glory. 👽 Favorite track: Synode van SATAN.

An excellent album and live performance from this psychedelic collective. Musically and in spirit, they follow the same path as the Psychedelic Black Metal/Ambient style of 'Wolvennest,' adding prestigious underground guests from the occult doom and black metal scene.
